Congratulations to James River Women for taking 2nd place at the 26th Annual Christmas 7s Tournament! The tournament draws over 30 teams each year and this year there were teams from as far away as Puerto Rico. Stay tuned for information on the upcoming Spring 15s season. Congratulations to Samantha Pankey! Samantha made the USA Womens XV squad. She played in the Nations Cup against England and Canada in Toronto the first week of August. Our first JR Womens JR Eagle!!!!! :) Samantha also made the 2011 MARFU 7s Womens squad. MARFU came in 5th at the USA National 7s All Star Championships on August 27th-28th. Stephie-jo Edwards played for MARFU 7s in 2001 and for a few years after. She has proudly managed the MARFU team since 2008. Congratulations to James River men and women for raising close to $2000 at their Annual Fall fundraiser! Beautiful weather and almost 80 in attendance.
